Pastor Mike Watkins, Sr

Pastor Mike Watkins, Sr. was born and reared in Natchez, MS. In 1989 he received a BS degree in Mathematics-Computer Science from Tougaloo College. He started his career at IBM in RTP, North Carolina as a software developer. It was there he met his beautiful wife, First Lady Karen Dey Watkins. They were married Aug 1, 1992 and have 3 beautiful children – Mike JR, Marcus and Amaya. The Lord led Pastor Mike and his family to Houston in December 1995 to advance his career at BMC Software and to be saved and work in God’s kingdom. Pastor Mike grew up in church and was baptized in Jesus name at a very young age. He was always taught to fear God, love Him and keep His commandments. On Dec. 21, 2003, the Lord filled him with the Holy Ghost at the Bible Refuge Temple Church, pastored by Dr. Bonnie Green. He served faithfully until 2007 when the Lord him to Faith Tabernacle to work alongside his brother, Bishop Gregory Watkins. Pastor Mike served faithfully as finance director and head deacon for 10+ year. During this period, he was also very active in the Living Witnesses of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. organization where he served as a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chairman of the National Men’s Auxiliary for 6 year. In 2019, after Bishop Gregory Watkins accepted the call to move to MS to continue his ministry, Pastor Mike accepted God’s call and was installed as pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries July 28, 2019.

Elder Jeffery Harris

Assistant Sunday School Superintendent:  I have been in this ministry for over 25 years. This is a place where anyone can learn the truth.

Minister Eddie Harris

Youth Ministry Leader. I am a minister here at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries. I also work at U.S. Legal Support, in the court reporting department. It was God's grace, love, and mercy that drew me to Him. I was brought up in the church but got away from the Lord to do my own thing. But because of God's grace, love, and mercy he never left me. (Deuteronomy 4:31) He continued to be my shepherd by protecting and providing for me as His sheep that had gone away. I was blind and did not realize that the life I was living was not pleasing to God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) One day my eyes were opened, and I noticed that a lot of my buddies whom I would club and run the streets with were either dead, in prison or smoking crack. I was headed down the same road. But for whatever reason, (grace, love, and mercy) God spared me and gave me another chance. After repenting, being baptized in Jesus name, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, (Acts 2:37-39) I was given power to resist the things that I use to do. I get excited when people see me now and see Christ in me and not the old person I use to be. It lets me and others know that I've been changed and don't even think the same. (Romans 12:2) And I will continue to be this person until Christ returns.
